North Ryde Community Preschool was established by a group of parents in 1981.  It operated from 2 scout halls while the group fought long and hard to find a suitable place to call 'home'. Ryde Council built our current premises in 1987 and we moved in 1988.  The high standard of staff, equipment and facilities has been maintained through the combined efforts of the Parent Management Committee, the Preschool employees, past and current families, local and state Government.
The Preschool is staffed by qualified Early Childhood Teachers and Advanced Child Care Workers who encourage children to be actively involved in the learning process.  A variety of developmentally appropriate experiences and programs are provided in a safe and caring environment to nurture each child's individual potential.
Our mission is for our children to be:
Family and community involvement is viewed as an essential part of the Preschool operation and parents have an opportunity to be involved on a number of levels.
Children with a range of abilities and backgrounds are integrated within the Preschool, our aim being to provide an anti-bias environment in which children can develop an appreciation of the strengths, uniqueness and diversity of others and come to value these traits.
We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm during NSW school terms (closed for holidays).
The Preschool is a NUT Free Zone.
